Academics Class
Mrs. Gearhart teaches Academics Class.
In Academics Class, Mrs. Sellers and Mrs. Leach teach Sonshine School students about shapes, colors, numbers, letters and animals. They also help students learn about the weather and the calendar.
Mrs. Sellers dresses up, reads books, leads songs and games, and gives worksheets in many of her lessons. She makes learning fun!

Academics Class will help students prepare for kindergarten. So far, we have learned:
- to count to ten
- to identify shapes
- to identify colors
- the days of the week
- the months of the year
- the alphabet
- to read our names
- all about animals
- and much more.
Our beloved Mr. and Mrs. Gearhart recently moved to Colorado to be with their children and grandchildren. Soon, they plan to move to China where they will teach English for several months.
